“Reinventing the wheel, over and over again”. Organizational learning, memory and forgetting in doing diversity work

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to advance knowledge organizational change towards diversity by bringing together concepts from learning and studies. Design/methodology/approach This longitudinal study was conducted over two years. It involved interviews, observation meetings consultation documentation the analysis focused on learning. key research question how do members institutionalize their individual process in cultures, routines structures a sustainable way? Findings results showed that there had been at level but did not necessarily mean participants able transfer into behaviour change. Research limitations/implications suggested training alone may be sufficient promote effective regarding diversity. Additional measures are likely required, for example, including targets performance management plans reviews. Practical implications In order achieve greater diversity, organizations need use number methods supplement initial training. Social gives insight achieved organizations.
